Best Social Media Automation Tools for WooCommerce Stores(2026)
An honest guide to Buffer, Later, Hootsuite, Canva, and Trigglo for WooCommerce: what each actually automates and which fits your store.

The best social media automation tool for a WooCommerce store depends on which half of the work you want automated. Schedulers like Buffer, Later, and Hootsuite automate publishing but leave content creation to you. Trigglo automates both, generating product images and captions from your WooCommerce catalog and posting them. Canva sits in between, speeding up creation without automating anything. There is no single winner, so this guide sorts the tools by the job they actually do.
We build one of the tools on this list, so read the Trigglo section with that in mind. We have tried to be plain about where the others are the better choice.
First, know which problem you are solving
Social media for a store is two jobs:
Most "automation" tools only do job two. If creating content is what eats your time (for most solo store owners it is, as we covered in No Time for Social Media?), a scheduler alone will disappoint you. Match the tool to your bottleneck.
The tools compared
Pricing below is as of July 2026, from each company's public pricing page. Check current prices before deciding.
| Tool | What it automates | Starting price | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Buffer | Publishing | Free plan; paid from $6 per channel per month | Simple, affordable scheduling |
| Later | Publishing, visual planning | From $25 per month | Instagram-first stores |
| Hootsuite | Publishing, monitoring, inbox | From $99 per user per month (annual) | Teams managing many accounts |
| Canva | Content creation (assisted) | Free plan; Pro from about $15 per month | DIY design without a designer |
| Trigglo | Content creation and publishing | From $29 per month | WooCommerce stores that want the whole loop automated |
Buffer: the affordable scheduler
Buffer is the simplest way to schedule posts across platforms, and its free plan (3 channels, 10 scheduled posts per channel) is genuinely usable for a small store. Paid plans start at $6 per channel per month. The interface is clean and the queue concept is easy to live with.
What it does not do: create anything. Every image and caption still comes from you. Buffer is the right choice if content creation is easy for you and remembering to publish is the problem.
Later: the Instagram-first planner
Later started as an Instagram tool and it shows, in a good way: the visual grid planner lets you see how your feed will look before anything publishes, and link-in-bio is built in. Plans start at $25 per month. If Instagram is your main channel and aesthetics matter to your brand, Later's planning view is the standout feature.
Like Buffer, it schedules what you made. It does not make anything for you beyond light AI caption assistance.
Hootsuite: the enterprise cockpit
Hootsuite bundles scheduling with social listening, a unified inbox, and team workflows. It is powerful and priced accordingly: the Standard plan starts at $99 per user per month billed annually, covering 10 social accounts.
For a solo WooCommerce store, Hootsuite is usually more cockpit than you need at a price that funds several other options. It earns its cost for teams and agencies managing many brands, which is a different problem than keeping one store's feed alive.
Canva: faster creation, not automation
Canva does not schedule or connect to WooCommerce meaningfully, but it makes the creation step much faster: templates sized for every platform, background removal, brand kits. Free tier is generous; Pro is about $15 per month.
Canva pairs naturally with Buffer or Later: create in one, schedule in the other. The catch is that you are still the production engine. Canva makes each post faster; it does not make posts happen.
Trigglo: the full loop, WooCommerce-native
Trigglo is built around a different premise: for a store, most social content is product content, and your WooCommerce catalog already contains everything needed to make it. Trigglo syncs your products, uses AI to generate styled product images and short videos from your existing photos, writes captions and hashtags, and publishes to Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok on a schedule. You choose how hands-on to be: run it on autopilot with a weekly digest, or review and approve every post before it goes out.
Plans start at $29 per month including 50 AI product photos. The honest limitations: it is ecommerce-only (if you are not selling products, it is the wrong tool), it covers Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok rather than every network, and AI-generated scenes, while checked for product accuracy, involve trusting generation in a way hand-made content does not. We wrote up how the full workflow looks in How to Auto-Post WooCommerce Products to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
Which one should you pick?
- You enjoy making content and just need it published: Buffer. Cheapest path to consistency.
- Instagram is your brand and you curate a grid: Later.
- You are a team or agency running several brands: Hootsuite.
- You want to make your own content faster: Canva plus Buffer.
- You want product posts to happen without you making them: Trigglo, or hire a human, which is a bigger decision we compared in AI vs Hiring a Social Media Manager.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best free social media tool for a WooCommerce store?
Buffer's free plan (3 channels, 10 scheduled posts each) combined with Canva's free tier covers scheduling and creation at no cost. The trade-off is that all content creation remains manual.
Do Buffer or Hootsuite integrate with WooCommerce?
Not natively in a deep way; they schedule content you create rather than reading your product catalog. Tools like Trigglo connect directly to WooCommerce and generate posts from product data and photos.
How much should a small store spend on social media tools?
Most solo stores land between $0 and $80 per month. Spending more than that on software mainly makes sense when it replaces hours of manual content production rather than just scheduling.
Can these tools post to TikTok automatically?
Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, and Trigglo all support scheduled publishing to TikTok as of 2026, though formats vary. Video content generally must meet each platform's specs, so tools that generate platform-correct sizes save a resizing step.
